MAKING MY FOOTPRINT
A girl makes new footprints in the wet sand on the beach. She wants to leave her trail but notices that it keeps disappearing due to the seawater.
This makes her realize that it will take a lot of effort, to leave a lasting impact. But she is ready to start....
Children inspire me. Their ability to transcend any rotten situation is amazing. Playing tag in the ruins of a bombed-out Syrian city. Playing football in the most miserable neighborhoods. They are always looking for the light. They save the future that our generations really messed up and don't even blame us for it. If only we could keep the child in ourselves a bit more, we wouldn't be in such a mess. Art can help us find our childlike innocence again
In this Mixed Media artwork, I have used Acrylic paint mixed with heavy gel pastes as a substrate to create a 'concrete look'.
On top of that, I worked with acrylics, watercolors, pastels, ink, and pencil.
