9 - 13 October 2024
The Regent's Park, London
db Waterman will be participating in the Frieze Art Fair exhibition
in London with three artworks at the invitation of Plogix Art Gallery.
Frieze London was founded in 2003 by Amanda Sharp and Matthew Slotover.
Eva Langret is the director of Frieze London.
The fair is the most influential contemporary art fair in the world, focusing exclusively on contemporary art and living artists.
The fair takes place every October at Regent's Park, in the heart of London. The 2024 edition will feature a groundbreaking new floor plan by design agency A Studio Between. The redesigned layout and entrance unquestionably give greater prominence to the fair's curated sections, including Artist-to-Artist and this year's new themed section, Smoke.
The exhibiting galleries represent the most exciting artists working today, from the emerging to the iconic. A team of leading independent curators advise on the main sections, enabling performance-based work and ambitious presentations from emerging galleries.
The fair focuses on living artists and cutting-edge practices. Frieze London coincides with and is within walking distance of its sister fair, Frieze Masters, at Regent's Park.
Frieze Masters offers a distinctive perspective on the relationship between historical art and contemporary practice, featuring works created before the year 2000.
In contrast, Frieze London showcases art produced mainly after 2000. Frieze Sculpture is a free exhibition of large outdoor works in the English gardens of The Regent's Park on the south side of The Broadwalk, linking Frieze London and Frieze Masters.
Frieze Sculpture 2024 will showcase leading international artists with works scattered across The Regent's Park, led by independent curator and writer Fatoş Üstek.
The free event runs from 18 September to 27 October. In recent years, we have had more than 60,000 visitors each year for Frieze London and Frieze Masters combined.
These visitors include those interested in the art world, such as curators, artists, collectors, gallerists and critics, as well as the general public. Some come for the first time to collect art, while others see the fair more as an exhibition and enjoy the experience as a cultural day out.
